Glacier Algae Studies

Alaska Pacific University, 2018-2021

This infographic (first slide) is a culmination of undergraduate research at Alaska Pacific University on the presence of Red Snow Algae on the Eklutna Glacier. For three years, I studied methods for measuring and mapping algae surface abundance using satellite imagery and ArcGIS. The goal of this infographic is to summarize the effects algae has on surface melt and the methods and challenges of mapping algae change over time.

Digital, 2021

Included above is a selection of research posters created for the project (2018-2020), and a whiteboard sketch of a poster layout.
